During the Spring term, we worked in collaboration with St Ives Foodbank to help replenish their stock. After some incredible fundraising by our Brownies, our unit had a shopping trip to Morrisons. We filled our trollies with lots of goodies for the foodbank, all paid for by money that the Brownies had raised as well as a kind donation from Morrisons. The Brownies thoroughly this trip and showed amazing maturity and empathy with the items that they chose.

Since the middle of March, our unit has had to adapt to a new style of meeting. Being unable to meet in person, our Brownies have still been working hard on activities at home to earn different badges as well as to keep our minds and bodies active and healthy. We have had a fantastic response from our parents about these activities and have heard that they are also being used by other family members and other families. Therefore, we have now put all our activities on the ‘Virtual Meetings’ page of our website, (https://1stneedingworth.wixsite.com/brownies/virtual-meetings) so that they are easily accessible for all. These activities can be adapted for many different ages and are also a good way to get a feel for what we do in Brownies.
