Over the past few months, we have continued working on a range of badges and activities including a Google badge and Daring Book for Girls challenge. As we have had a fantastic response to these activities, we have put all our activities on the ‘Virtual Meetings’ page of our website, (https://1stneedingworth.wixsite.com/brownies/virtual-meetings) so that they are easily accessible for all. These activities can be adapted for many different ages and are also a good way to get a feel for what we do in Brownies.
The highlight of the term has been holding a Virtual Harry Potter sleepover. As the Harry Potter pack holiday we had booked for May had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus, the leaders decided to hold a sleepover with each Brownie logging in to take part from their own homes. Lots of us dressed up in costumes and we connected with different activities across the day using Zoom. The girls and leaders then slept in incredible homemade Harry Potter dens. The Brownies’ favourite activity was making magical chocolate cake in a mug!
