Night Walk Fun!

This Autumn term at Brownies we have enjoyed having lots of new girls joining us, some who have joined us from Rainbows and some who are completely new to Girlguiding.

The Brownies said their highlight of the term was taking part in the Rainbow Flag Blessing Service and the night walk we then took after the service. During the service, some of our Brownies spoke very eloquently as they presented the Rainbows with a gift of a necker and leather woggles that the Brownies had made themselves. Following the service, the Brownies undertook a brave night walk from St John the Baptist all the way to the Pike and Eel. We spent most of the walk singing songs at the top of our lungs but especially enjoyed reaching the pub where we shared some lovely warm chips!

Most recently, we were able to present two Brownies with their ‘Be Well Brownie Theme Award’. This award represents one of six themed awards that Brownies can work towards. This is the first time that these awards have ever been presented by our unit and represent the hard work that both girls have undertaken, both by completing challenges at Brownies and activities at home. Congratulations to both girls, we are incredibly proud of you!
