It’s been an exciting Summer term at Brownies, where we have been making the most of the gorgeous weather. The highlight this term has certainly been our Brownie Carnival. After half a term working very hard on our ‘Network Skills Builder’ badge, we decided we needed a good night of old fashion fun! We played a huge range of carnival games including hook-the-duck, the electric buzzer game and even tried the coconut shy in the rain! But of course, a carnival wouldn’t be complete without some freshly made popcorn and a yummy hot chocolate.
In the second half of the term, we worked on our ‘Explorer Skills Builder’ badge, and learnt how to respect our environment and take care of ourselves when on a walk. One of the most humorous activities was trying to wrap up clothing in a bin bag to stop it getting wet, then drenching the bin bag with ‘rain’ from a watering can! The Brownies did an amazing job as 100% of the clothing came out dry!

In the Autumn term, we are also looking forward to doing activities to support our Rainbows with their Flag Blessing and lots of creative activities in the run up to Christmas, some of which you will hopefully see for sale on our stand at the Christmas Fayre.
We currently have some spaces for 7-9 year old girls and would love to have new members join us and take part in our active programme. For more information please contact Julie at Needingworth.Brownies@yahoo.com or 07597 569582
